D-Tools cloud mobile app

Add another comment to the pile. At this point, I'm looking at other SaaS's in this space that already have a mobile app, especially one that is usable by our field techs.

Hilarious that this post is going on three years old, and, STILL, no app.
And using the website on a phone is still as bad as ever.
But, hey, good news - we've integrated another vendor that no one's heard of!

If an app isn’t possible or super far down the road, please at least make it so the formatting works properly on iPhone and iPads. Very frustrating to use in the field. Sometimes it works okay and others it’s an absolute disaster with scrolling and missing the save buttons.

Dedicated app for the phone

Some of our technicians are requesting a dedicated phone app as opposed to the browser on the phone.

How many times has a mobile app been brought up? Or, perhaps, even a working mobile version of the site we have? It's absolutely unusable in the field at a site survey, which absolutely cancels out the concept of an efficient cloud-based go-anywhere solution.
We're not asking for a PERFECT app - it can always be tweaked - god knows we're all basically beta testers for all software anyhow at this point.

Why hasn't this request been escalated by D-Tools yet? SI in not an option for us at this point; we need this platform to work for Projects and for Service!

Hey Dtools, can we get some actual details on what your plan is to resolve this? We’ve been living with this janky at best application on iPhone for way to long. It’s basically useless. How is it this is the only application I use that doesn’t respond to an iPhone? This is totally unacceptable from a company like Dtools.

This has got to be high on the list. We created 9 Service Orders at our Weekly Tech Meeting last week in order for each of them to go through our Service Process on the iPhone. Each had a different experience. We spent so much time just dealing with Format Issues (which were all different). Some had to restart their phones, some had to kill Safari and restart, some it worked fine. To unpredictable and just taking your notes should not take longer than the service call. PLEASE create an APP.

I agree. It's "usable", but buttons being off screen and being unable to save often is very problematic where I use my iPad as often as I use my laptop
