Remove billing frequency

Hi Ryan the request is to have the ability to set a default in our settings. We are same as Jason except that we only allow monthly billing. We should be able to set that as a default just like we can with term length. We can eliminate term lengths but not billing frequency and if you forget to go in and turn them off the client gets the options. It would be better to select one or more as a default and then be able to add the others on a selective basis!

Ron Wanless Ah! I understand. I will review this with the team today and will implement the fixes myself. Jason Stevenson I'll also have someone from our Customer Support team reach out to you today, just to ensure your request is the same.
What I understand is that on a quote, billing frequencies and plan lengths are easy to hide/show to your customer, but since it's only on a quote, there's no default setting. So in the Catalog portion of the service plan, where they're created to be used in quotes, we should include term lengths and billing frequencies, so that you guys can choose your defaults, whatever they may be.

Ryan Schmidt Correct. On security agreements customers are allowed to select monthly, quarterly, semi annually and annually. On our Client Care programs we only allow customers to select this service with an annual payment option.

Ryan Schmidt that is correct but to be clear we need the ability to select a default term and billing frequency and then your current option to go into the quote and change those would work in reverse right. So every plan you send out would have your default unless you change it. Right now it’s the opposite where every plan you send out has all options unless you change it. We actually deleted all but annual on our term lengths to avoid issues there but the billing frequencies make sense but if you select a default then you would have to change it for an individual that you want to allow a different option. It seems like the option to select a default would trigger the switch to only showing default option unless you add individually. And the option to select multiple defaults obviously for those that want those multiple options but not all. Happy to jump on a call if there is any confusion.

Ron Wanless Jason Stevenson Totally understood, and no confusion. Ron, there will be the ability to override any defaults once in a quote, to tailor it to a specific customer. The designs is complete and I've targeted one of the next 3 releases for it, but I don't want to make a promise I can't deliver on by guaranteeing any specific release.

Hey Jason Stevenson, when editing a service plan in a quote, you can choose which options will be presented to your customer. As an example, in the screenshot below, their customer will only see Annual on the proposal. It works for Plan Lengths the same way.

Ryan Schmidt I may need a online meeting to guide me on this. I can not seem to find the correct way to do this. Do you have any availability Monday afternoon?
