Splitting Quantity of Items

We would like to be able to split an item up under the Items page. Like if we have 4 of the same item needed for a project but we only need to order 2 because we have 2 in stock, we'd like to be able to allocate 2 as "In Stock" and 2 as "Ready to be Ordered".

Likewise if the customer has a package, for instance, part with 2 wires, and we only need to wire 1 wire - we would like to be able to edit the "parent" quantity sometimes.

Likewise, the item status page should also have an option to view all parts combined so we can see total quantities easily without having to count up

Robi Aamodt this has to be one of the most annoying oversights. "John how many 3ft HDMI wires do we need for that townhuse? - Call me back in 15, I have to make a count."
